So me and my mate Tobias hit Hintertux couple of weeks ago. Day trip from Nürnberg was long, starting at 5 am and ending for the skiing part at 9 pm, and then came after ski. But this time the glacier was a true summer skiing resort with black and partly blue icy surface that likes to eat metal edges. Hopefully in September the resorts will start to have some fresh snow and even parks to play with.

Oh, and the trip was done with my new car. Skis and snowboards fit in nicely with three maybe even four persons. So if any of my dear friends in Finland are thinking of ad hoc ski trips with flights to München, I can rent you a car with a driver and fellow skier at the price of some shared diesel expenses!
